Dive Club

The Puget Sound Depth Chargers dive club has been one of the most active in the Pacific Northwest for the past 15 years. We are a casual, informal group (with no dues!) that has club meetings at the Milton Tavern on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM. Most divers arrive early at 6:00 PM to enjoy dinner, beverages, and chatting about their latest scuba adventures. Each meeting also has an informative guest speaker with topics ranging from underwater archaeology to photography in exotic locales to conservation and more.

The Puget Sound Depth Chargers host at least two local shore dives per month which are led by one of Scuba SET Adventure Centers SSI Dive Control Specialists and/or SSI Instructors. We also host fun themed dives such as an annual 5-card stud poker dive, an annual underwater pumpkin carving and costume contest, a turkey dive, and more.

Each year, the club ventures northward to the San Juan Islands or Salt Creek County Park for an inexpensive dive camp-out. Weekend trips to British Columbia and weeklong trips to tropical destinations are also offered.

One of the highlights each year is our annual amateur photo competition which has grown significantly in the last six years. The Puget Sound Depth Chargers even has a photo club which meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
